Review of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) by Nick F — 25 Dec 2018
For me this film failed in one of its most important story goals - explaining Anakin's turn to the dark side in a manner consistent with that described by Obi Wan in the first Star Wars. Rather than being "seduced" by the dark side, it looked more like he was driven mad with worry over an uncertain future and an inability to control his emotions.
His descent from Jedi Hero to child-killing monster happened so rapidly that we didn't quite have time to fully grasp what was going on.. This gripe aside, ROTS was an amazingly exciting film to watch, with some great moments that have since become cornerstones of Star Wars legend.
I wish the sequel trilogy was up to this standard.
