Review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) by David W — 16 May 2018
If VIII wasn't as terrible as it was, this movie might have been good, but it asked so many annoying questions and built them up to be some huge reveal. For example: Who are Rey's parents? who is snoke? is Finn gonna be ok after his spine being ripped open by a lightsaber? how did Maz find Luke's lightsaber after is fell into a bottomless pit? if Phasma comes back, will she at least be somewhat capable at her job? how is Rey perfect at everything without training? Does that have something to do with her parents? What has Luke been doing out here? The answers are in order: Nobody, nobody, he'll be fine in the first 5 minutes of the next movie, they didn't say nor will it be mentioned again, no, she's a Mary Sue, no, and he's been feeling sorry for himself and grumping.
