The visuals are good.
At first I thought the parallels in plot to the originals were interesting. This is not a good thing though. It's not original enough. Too much fan service.
Also, the story has been dumbed-down, or infantilised - I think this has something to do with Disney. The inspirational moment with the yellow-granny-alien made me cringe.
