Review of Starter for 10 (2006) by Stefan G — 28 May 2013
I have not read the book but will do when I have the time (like always, people say the book is 10 times better than the movie...go on and do it yourself! "This was a brilliant point of view!" - some would say....like me).
Anyway, the music choice was amazing (for the time this was made...not so old but not so new either). The plot is nothing new but still its happening in 2013 anyway (yes, bullies, intellectuals, game shows on TV, getting to riots at university...typical). Now, the acting and directing was super-fantastic! Yes it was bloody brilliant! James HAS done roles before and after that are amazing (you can see he is very diverse when choosing characters), same Benedict (I could not stop laughing because of the role he played here...I have met people like that and I do try not to laugh, well I have and they have of themselves & that is self-confidence people). Even Alice Eve character "Alice" (ironically same name LOL) did a great job (no, I have seen works of her before Trekkie film ok?).
4 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA MES AMIS DU 7th L'ART! My respects to this cast in the new things/jobs they do because I know I will see them sooner or later. CHAO! - May 29, 2013.
