Review of StreetDance 3D (2010) by Jenn T — 03 Nov 2012
I went into this film with low exceptions. Low for the plot and acting of yet another "innovative" British film and low for the 3D which with few exceptions, has yet to truly impress me.
I am pleased to report that it surpassed them on both counts. Yes it is dross, the plot is thin and the acting is a shade better than a drama school improv session but the 3D was comfortable though not as striking as you might expect. But it was solid and reliable and didn't try to be anything more than it was.
The same can be said for the film. It was what it was and it did it well. Entertaining though not always for the right reasons and clearly taking a lot from the Step Up franchise, this is well worth a watch.
