Review of Suddenly, Last Summer (1959) by Janelle S — 13 Dec 2010
The acting was great. The problem is that nearly all of the movie is driven by dialogue, but the real problem is that the censorship of the time killed it. Major plot points and characterization are implied and can be figured out easily enough, but end up taking away from the plot by making the twists confusing and unclear and therefore less powerful.
