Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Ivan J — 04 Dec 2018
Suicide Squad, the third worst movie a part of the DCEU... so far. It messes up the timeline with Batman and the Flash. Also, where was Superman during these events. In this movie we had Killer Croc, he was so ugly but it was very comic book accurate. Enchantress doing magic looks like someone trying to take invisible pants off with no hands. The Joker was in this and his version was terrible, his acting was amazing. But how they portrayed his character, special effects, looks, dialogue etc - was so bad. We got Harley Quinn's origin, something that we have never got before in a live-action DC film or even DC shows. And it wasn't half bad. It could've done better comic accuracy wise, but nice try. Deadshot was portrayed by Will Smith and was a fine actor. The most cringy Will Smith line ever is "What is this some kind of Suicide Squad?". The way they introduce the characters is ridiculous; you can't show 1000 words expect us to read it especially in 2 seconds per characters.
Also, the Joker was played by Jared Leto - I mention this because Jared Leto took this role very seriously, he even shaved his eyebrows; now that's commitment. I would... well, I don't actually know if I would recommend this or not. I would age this 15 for sexual exploitation, strong language, strong violence, and gore.
Grade: C+.
