Review of Superman: Brainiac Attacks (2006) by Private U — 12 Jun 2007
This is a good movie, especially if you can suspend all knowledge you may have of the Superman animated series its based off of. Lex Luthor, Brainiac and Mercy have different voices than in the show. Brainiac's and Mercy's work for them, but Luthor's played way too much like the Gene Hackman version from the old movies (in the cartoon he was a bit more intimidating, but here he's kind of a goof).
They also ignore the episode of the TV show, "Ghost in the Machine," by showing that Brainiac only knows Luthor through hearsay, rather than personally meeting him. But other than that, this is a nice animated movie for Superman fans.
