A love-it-or-hate-it experience if ever there was one. You can accept it on its own terms and embrace that its kind of a brilliant mess (honestly thats my take on Argento's version also) ... or you can fold your arms, say "i'm confused", and rhapsodize for days about what it should have been.
The choice is yours. (PS...the "big scene" you've read about is even worse than you think...might wanna brace yourself).
