Review of Sword Art Online: The Movie – Ordinal Scale (2017) by Jonathandiosa — 27 Jan 2021
Imagine coming on here to write a negative review about a movie that is highly entertaining from beginning to end. It's the reason people enjoyed SAO to begin with. This movie is beautiful and in 2021, I must say its one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
Way more entertaining than the first 3 episodes of Wandavision that I've watched recently. The effects are also beautiful and will be a great homage to those who enjoyed the show. If you aren't into technology than this isn't for you but that's where Japan is headed.
Most people don't want to be chipped or have technology integrated into the real world as they do with the Augmas attached to their ears which is something I thought about heavily at the beginning of the movie.
Wish I created something similar but that's what all these smart watches now a days are doing. Being able to view someone's stats for instance by passing them by or looking up potential future employees by being able to view their job history and resumes.
If this hasn't been done well I just gave you the idea. Get rich off of it. As for the movie there is alot of action and Kirito gets stronger pretty quickly because he needs to in order to save the love of his life and everyone else.
That's as much of a spoiler as you will get here. Who In the world comes here to complain about character development is just ridiculous considering memories are being forgotten and they dwell on the past many times but in a memorable way which will resonate with people who enjoyed the show.
Enjoy the movie, be entertained and hope for more. Now I'm going to look up other SAO MOVIES which I enjoy with my son and his mother.
