For the most part Talk to Me is a competently made film. There's a couple of unique ideas the film has in depicting deeper, more emotionally horrifying things people can experience such as; trauma, guilt and grief.
The film is shot well for the most part, but it lacks the scares and originality to elevate it beyond any other recent horror movies that are similar to it. There's also a number of moments where the dialogue and performances are not great, making the film lose a lot of the effectiveness it could have had if those two things were just a tad bit better.
