Nothing to do with the original in any way, shape or form. Understand the perpetrators of these ignominies just want to erase historical pop culture. When a character says "it's -insert current year-", it's a dead giveaway for their intent.
Same applies to any sex-swapping, race-swapping or insertion of sexual proclivities (where it adds nothing to the story) for any character or "uglification" for the sake of "body-diversity".
It's worth below zero and anyone paying to watch this garbage should be shamed.
