Review of Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) by Inopinatus — 28 Aug 2020
A classic slice of Terminator action with all the dystopian action hallmarks of the first two films. Arnie's darkly comic turn is absolutely on character, Linda Hamilton is gritty and authentic, and the criminally talented Mackenzie Davis is absolutely convincing as a conflicted super soldier from the future. The opening scene makes a very clear point about the narrative direction since James Cameron was last involved, and whilst I enjoyed those too it's definitely a cathartic opening.
Look past the horde of angry incels complaining about women in action roles, that've overrun this website; they know nothing but their own bigoted rage.
