For all the talk of James Cameron's glorious return to the Terminator franchise, Terminator: Dark Fate ends up being just another lousy Terminator sequel. After opening the movie with a clear cut thesis statement about how this movie is going to be different, Dark Fate proceeds to utilize the same exact structured plot as every single other movie in the franchise.

This would have be fine if the characters didn't take a back seat to the action.
