Review of The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) by Thetalk — 23 Sep 2018
I hate this. As a loyal and complete Spider-Man, this is the worst rendition of the vigilante that I have ever gotten to watch. The persona of Peter Park is wrong physically and in spirit; his motivations to be Spider-Man are messed up until like, almost the end of the film.
It's ridiculous. I'm not asking for a quick progression to the hero, but honestly? It hurts to watch. Because there's one thing Spider-Man has always been: with great power comes great responsibility— by the end of the film, this Peter has not learnt one lesson at all about what means to be a hero, to be Spider-Man.
