Review of The Anderson Tapes (1971) by Michael T — 03 Feb 2009
Caper film starring Sean Connery as a recently released felon who masterminds a plot to rob an exclusive Manhatten townhouse complex. He is observed at different times by various federal law enforcement agencies, committees and a private investigation agency but they are watching various gangsters whome he meets with, a black power organization headquartered close to where Connery recruits one of the members of his crew, or his girlfriend (Dyan Cannon) who is the mistress of a wealthy man.
When Anderson pulls off and nearly succeeds in his crime all these agencies vecome aware they were watching the wrong man. The film is set in a world filled with legal and illegal wiretaps and surveilance, who is watching you?
