Review of The Animatrix (2003) by Lewis E — 20 Apr 2015
The experimental animation styles for each short story are imaginative yet often too trippy to hold concentration while the stories themselves are hit and miss (mostly misses). Although some parts provide disturbingly gruesome insight into the Matrix origins and may help to clear up many audiences' misunderstanding of it, it fails to overcome its present day irrelevance now that there is no buzz from the main trilogy to support it.
