Review of The Assassination of Richard Nixon (2004) by Hans J. E — 02 Nov 2010
This movie is uncomfortable. Sean Penn gives a performance that hangs on the edge of being showy, but thanks to a sparse visual style and some complementary supporting performances, he never seems in the wrong.
Penn's Bicke is like a more cautious, less confident Travis Bickle or Holden Caulfield.
