Review of The Babadook (2014) by Geoff H — 23 May 2015
The story is flimsy. The beginning feels like a delayed wait in traffic, the CGI is out of a first grade homework project. The little boy is so annoying you actually hope something happens to him. Filming is flimsy and shakes at points.
I watched this film in a driving rain and dark of night and still left shaking my head at how bad it was. I would have rather read the book and let my imagination create something scary and sinister that sit through it and wish the babadook would take me to end my viewing misery.
One star cause, well, at least it ended.
