Review of The Bad Guys (2022) by Tillerpedia — 15 May 2022
Beautifully animated, gushing with style, and boasting highly engaging characters, The Bad Guys is a welcome breath of fresh air for its genre, however, it’s plot and character development most certainly left much to be desired.
Even for a family oriented film, it seemed like style overcame substance very frequently, which is a shame considering the ensemble of characters definitely had potential to be further explored and fleshed out.
The plot seemed like an afterthought on more than one occasion, jumping around incessantly, especially during the final act. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it from start to finish and would definitely recommend it.
