As one who loved the book series, I can proudly say that this movie has nearly all the charm of said books. although I already knew most of the plot points, they did rework the story to fit more in a movie, so I didn't know everything, they altered the twist a bit, and changed most of Foxington's character, mostly for the better though.
One of the rare kids' movies in which the hetero romance characters actually have chemistry and aren't forced together.
