First off, the landscape shots and the actors are absolutely awesome. Also the dialogues are pretty good with dark irish humour.

So why only 7 points? The story was not believable for me. I understood that the older friend was going through some kind of "end life crisis". But therefore ending a long lasting friendship and cutting off fingers? No way...it just feels constructed and not realistic at all.

However, the weak story is somewhat compensated by the irish atmosphere on a small island which is conveyed very well. Also, the actors are really good and the landscape is beautiful. And yes, dialogues are sometimes really funny.
