Review of The Black Sheep (1949) by Javier V — 12 Jun 2010
An hilarious ranchera comedy where the remarkable element is undoubtedly Fernando Soler playing the role of Cruz: a drunk, womanizer and macho old man who still believes his son Silvano is a child and blames her wife for their boy's bad education.
The screenplay is really clever, the movie is never boring, a melodrama at the end but one of the greatest mexican glories made during the Mexican Golden Age of Cinema.
