Review of The Black Windmill (1974) by Andy W — 17 Mar 2010
Bizarre film which is atypical of the sort of 'in-between project' Michael Caine used to be famous for. The plot is over-complicated, nonsensical at times, and is strangely unexciting. Performances are verging on hammy, but the one saving grace is Roy Budd's score, which is sadly drowned out by the blandness on screen.
Mildly diverting, but no classic.
