Review of The Blob (1988) by Owen K — 20 Jan 2015
Probably one of the best horror remakes of all-time, The Blob seamlessly updates the 1950's catastrophic horror films of the American Cold War era with the newer anxieties of the Reagan-era. The film boasts some of the best special effects of the 1980s, alongside a non-stop action packed plot, all driven by more complex than typical cast of characters.
The Blob is a must-see for genre fans looking for a fun fast-paced movie, that offers a little more story and depth than typical for late 80s horror films.
