Review of The Bookshop (2017) by Andrew B — 23 May 2018
Many of the characters are caricatures. The foot-dragging dialogue awkward at times. The idea of this little fishing village sustaining such a bookshop unrealistic, not to mention it selling 250 copies of Lolita.
Attractive as a period piece but in a rather mannered way.
