Review of The Break-Up (2006) by Andy S — 02 Sep 2010
The Break-Up is incorrectly labeled as a romantic-comedy. Rather it is insight into most modern day relationships. There is no happy ending; the couple does not spontaneously get back together. And people are too stubborn to forgive and forget so they keep digging themselves deeper into holes.
The Break-Up was brutally harsh, bittersweet, and with a little sarcastic comedy sprinkled just for taste. Maybe the reason people resent this movie so much is because it so painfully reminds them of themselves.
Don't be afraid of the truth. Admit you just LOVE this movie.
