Predictable and a bit slow, but still very enjoyable. Good acting, score, and the final act does a good job reaching the climax. You never really lose interest and it keeps you invested with a likable lead actor.
It is a bit silly, and outside of some disturbing imagery at the end of the movie I could see people more likely to laugh or scoff at the killer mutant children. Fans of Cronenberg should absolutely check this one out.
