Regardless of that content you have within your movie, a silly title will almost always doom you. This is unfortunate as "The Bye Bye Man" starts off with a bang (several of them) and grabs you right away.
It has an interesting, if not clever premise but very quickly loses steam after introducing it. Clearly those involved had the clever idea but were not really sure of what to do with it. It's not scary, rarely bloody and has forgettable characters.
