Review of The Cat from Outer Space (1978) by Robert B — 24 Oct 2009
Wow, you know you're in new territory when Sandy Duncan is the love interest in this film. I actually remember seeing this in the theatre way back with my parents. Something to fill the void between Star Wars and the Empire Strikes back.
It's not bad but not great either this many years later but the kids love it. There's just something of naive fun that this is one of the last Disney movies like GUS, managed to muddle through.
Relying on Disney Alumni Ken Berry to carry he weight of the film and veteran MASH actors Henry Morgan and McLean Stevenson who basically play the same TV 70's popular characters. If you're an adult you'll probably wish for something more sophisticated but c'mon the cats are cute and they have a spaceship.
Film does not answer the question though about where the space cat litterbox is though.
