Review of The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Jamie C — 11 Feb 2018
After it's Surprising release and shock move to Netflix there was high hope for this film as let's face it J.J. Abrams and his team have put so much more effort than most people know into the Cloverfield Universe with websites, Videos, Profiles releasing all before the first film back in 2008, The film itself in set in 2028 but is a prequel to the first two, The story can get confusing but it does answer a few questions about the first two films but also leaves more questions unanswered, The effects were great and I did like the story but there's a few plot holes and allot of science talk that goes over everyones head, It felt very out of place in the Cloverfield universe until the end, There's going to be allot of theories about these films until we see them on screen, Like the second one it leaves the Cloverfield Universe open to go anywhere it wants what with different dimensions and also the fact that the particle accelerator used in this film ripped open time and space and changed things in the past, Present and future it's free to do as it pleases but I just hope they keep it more simple before it ends up being another X-Men Universe.
