Review of The Color of Money (1986) by Duncan G — 11 Dec 2007
A brilliant performance from Paul Newman blows Cruise off the screen. A classic redemption story that solidifies the legend of Newman as the everyman we all want to be. Scorsese's direction helps keep the film tight and moving at a decent peg.
Final third of the film is a superb study in acting and direction. Drastically under-rated.
