Review of The Color of Paradise (1999) by Gabzy G — 10 Mar 2012
After ten minutes we are transported into another world (Mohammad's home) - This is a beautiful film that I wasn't sure about at the beginning....but the contract of worlds is perfect. I think this is my first Iranian film, and hopefully not my last.
' Dear Mohammad, can you tell me what's over there?'.......(reply by the blind boy)........... 'Where? I want to see' - sums up this film for me. And the beautiful landscapes and haunting music.
