Review of The Commuter (2018) by Ken C — 28 Mar 2018
A smart but sometimes mediocre, Luke warm typical Liam Neeson film. I enjoyed the movie, it definetly was something different and familiar from the Liam Neeson Camp. I have to say that I figured out the plot twist very easily.
I don't know if it's because I've seen 1,000 of these types of films or because it was poorly woven into the movie. Either way, it could have been done a bit more intellectually. Other than the plot twist, the movie flowed very nicely and the acting was at a solid B+.
There was a nice bit of humor as well as witty banter between Liam's character and the other passengers. Also the movie did a good job at making the situation and the character believable even though it was extremely far fetched.
Overall I think that this movie is best viewed as a Saturday night family affair, complete with TV Dinners/Pizza Delivery and paper cups filled with diet coke.
