Review of The Conformist (1970) by Anders A — 10 Aug 2016
In many senses a glow of Italian movie, in fact its very italian. A not very fascist, fascist is driven towards the goal of the regime, though lacking in both aura and willingness to achieve. This feature reminds me of familiar movies of post-WW2 right-wing bourgeois as Mephisto, The Night Porter, Mr.
Klein etc.
