Ya know what - I liked The Conjuring 2 quite a bit more than the original. The direction is still deft, as always per James Wan, and the acting is good across the board (I'd say great if it weren't for some truly cornball lines).
Plus, it leans far more into the monster / demon vibe than its predecessor, with *much* less of it focusing on wishy-washy, I believe you No I don't believe you BS. So over that trope. But uhhh yeah! Overall good, scary fun.
