Review of The Day of the Locust (1975) by Jay N — 19 May 2010
A good one, with an ending you don't see coming. Set in 1930's Hollywood, just as the industry is getting off the ground. Great performances from Donald Sutherland, Karen Black and Burgess Meredith.
And, of course, the movie looks FANTASTIC, thanks to the great Conrad Hall's cinematography.
