Review of The Day of the Locust (1975) by Samoa G — 16 Feb 2009
I actually can't think of another film with such an original plot. And maybe that means I haven't seen enough movies, but it doesn't matter- because I saw this one. And it. was. brilliant. I don't really know how to describe it- it's all just super clever and provoking.
I have a crush on Donald Sutherland in this. The final scene (or, the mob scene) is one of the best in cinema history. Drills me to the bone.
