Review of The Departed (2006) by Choen L — 15 Dec 2017
While I enjoyed this, I couldn't help but count by sequence just how many key like for like scenes it copied from the movie it's based on (Infernal Affairs). Most comes across as paler more diluted versions of the original.
The original is also a far more complex film in which the depiction of what a living hell is. In the Departed, this exploration of the human condition gets simplified.
