Review of The Drop (2014) by Margarita S — 07 Jul 2018
Tom Hardy turns in another exceptional performance as Bob, a bartender with hidden depths. The rest of cast is strong, although James Gandolfini wasn't up to his usual standards (he may already have been ill when The Drop was filmed).
The story moves along until about 2/3 of the way through, when the energy takes a nose-dive for about ten minutes. A nice twist at the end!
