The Edge of Seventeen, while conveying some relatable truths of a teenagers life, at times can be overdone, but for the films sake, is to be expected.

For a lot of teens, this film will definitely hit the emotional cord at several points throughout. While The Edge of Seventeen isn't a particular unique and original plot, the character development and portrayals of characters by the main cast is to be applauded, for being so connected and integral as individuals when it comes to overall plot.
