Review of The End of the Tour (2015) by Gavin P — 29 Aug 2016
A decent biopic, but I guess it would've been better if I'd read David Foster Wallace (Segel)'s 'Infinite Jest'. Eisenberg is good - not too annoying - as Lipsky, the Rolling Stone reporter/want-to-be-novellist, and Segel's quiet & understated as the rising author/star.
Not much really happens - they have a few jokes, talk a lot about existentialism and then it's over. There's a good soundtrack and the actors are good enough to make two people talking on screen interesting, but it doesn't transcend that.
