Review of The Equalizer 2 (2018) by Andrew M — 21 Jul 2018
Came back from "Equalizer 2." And just rewatched part 1 immediately before it. Has it been 4 years already? Damn. Well, Equalizer 2 is not as good as part 1. Like, it's not even close. Luckily, part 1 was SO good that even with a chasm of quality between the two of them, part 2 still is pretty good.
There aren't really any surprises and the climax isn't quite as interesting or "big" as the showdown in the fake Home Depot in the first one. It all just feels smaller and less well thought out, but still definitely worth watching.
Pedro Pascal almost literally repeats his character and arc from "Kingsman 2.".
