Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Tom B — 03 Jan 2019
Following in the footsteps of Tom Cruise in JACK REACHER and Keanu Reeves in JOHN WICK, Denzel Washington has decided to flourish off his less-expensive combat protagonist and dish out a sequel to this very average action/revenge flick franchise.
This is the type of film that strictly benefits from an articulate lead-character performance. Someone that Denzel admired is murdered; henceforth, the assassins become the targets. Not much else happens here, besides a poor attempt to spice things up with a hurricane amid the finale.
