Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Huw G — 28 May 2018
The action is violent but, although not especially original, it does - mostly - avoid the familiar depressing cliches, to give us something where the bad guys pay, yet all but one of the innocent emerge unscathed.
There are a few unbelievable decisions by the lead character, and lots of far-fetched and silly DIY moments, but not enough to break the flow. A good action flick if you can tolerate some brutality.
