The Expendables isn't the kind of film that's meant to have a plot, let alone need one - its a summer blockbuster full of A-list stars, big, ballsy action and laden with huge explosions sure to entertain the average viewer.
The film moves at such a pace that you don't really get time to stop and think about any kind of story featured in this very enjoyable action spectacular - this is what the movie does very well. Stallone, Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Jet Li are all at their trigger-happy best too.
