Review of The Fear of 13 (2015) by Aalexis C — 22 Jun 2018
An extraordinary story told by a Death Row inmate, of apparent injustices and a cruel prison regime. The film is made even more vivid by Nick Yarris's almost theatrical delivery and practised script as his chronology darts around.
The ending is as sudden and surprising as the discovery that much of what the viewer assumes to have been shot in the States was actually filmed at Ealing Studios in the UK.
