Review of The Flash (2023) by Chikiponmex — 16 Jun 2023
Was looking forward to the stand alone Flash film, I have to say I was very disappointed. Like other negative reviewers have mentioned the CGI is shockingly bad. It starts from the opening baby drop scene and is evident whenever both Barrys are on the screen, perspective is off and detail is lacking.
Story wise Flash Point isn't given any justice, a lot of new concepts are thrown in with little exposition. If you haven't read the comics or watched the CW tv show, 'speed force, phasing and the reverse Flash' are alien.
The story made it difficult to invest in any of the characters. I probably preferred Barry in the other DC ensemble pieces where although goofy - I at least cared if he was o.k. Or not.
