Review of The Flash (2023) by Compi24 — 17 Jun 2023

Honestly, this would easily rank as one of the higher-scoring movies of the year for me if the visual effects weren't so bad. That's the inescapable fact that I think even this film's biggest apologists have come to acknowledge as valid.

That aside, though, this is surprisingly entertaining. I dug the overall vibe, which really does remind me of that madcap tone that I loved so much in "It Chapter Two." I thought Miller did a terrific job with the material at hand, which also really resonated with me.

Again, it's just those visual effects that I think hold this back from true greatness.
