More of a kids film/fairy tale. Has some great bits and some bits that just seem rushed and wrong/unconvincing....particularly the ending seemed really tacked on and devoid of feeling, very odd with the nature of the whole film to that point.
Kate sometimes a bit flat. Did like it though...educational and escapist and well done on the whole - some really human bits and great scenery through the changing seasons. Daughter likes it anyway and that's the critic vote I guess.
